

We used to have an Eclipse RCP application allowing us to calculate the amount of DASD space needed to store a given number of database records and index structures the plug-ins composing that RCP application can now be installed in any Eclipse workbench.While preparing my presentation about Test Driving SQL Web Connect with Eclipse BIRT for the 2014 BIUA event, which is taking place at SD Worx in Antwerp next Tuesday, I couldn’t resist to throw in a few screenshots of the Eclipse environment that we, as an IDMS DBA or developer, have at our disposal today at P&V Group, as well as dream of a few features that do not (yet) exist today.ĭuring the last couple of years, I have been developing Eclipse plug-ins that help us in our daily work as an IDMS DBA :
